TREATMENT AND SERVICES: MALE FACTOR INFERTILITY

Male infertility accounts for approximately 40% of the 2.3 million diagnosed infertility cases in the United States. For this reason, when a couple is experiencing difficulty in achieving pregnancy, our board certified reproductive endocrinologists take a proactive approach to identifying treatment options. 

Male factor problems may include: structural abnormalities, sperm production disorders, ejaculatory disturbances and immunologic disorders.  After gaining a better understanding of the patients history, our physicians will conduct an in depth physical which often includes a semen analysis.  A complete semen analysis is a relatively simple and inexpensive test that should be done in the beginning phase of testing.

RSI has a state-of-the-art on site andrology laboratory and offers advanced testing and treatments in assisted reproductive technologies.  This allows our patients to receive their treatments in one facility lead by the same team of caring physicians.

Treatments for male infertility depend on the specific cause of the infertility and have included medical treatment, microscopic insemination techniques, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), microsurgical varicocele repair, and vasovasostomies (vasectomy reversals).
